Dorothy E. Schiebel, 87 of Sauquoit and most recently of Alterra Clare Bridge, departed this life, Sunday August 10, 2014, at the St. Luke's Home. Dorothy was born in Clayville, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Delima Young Barlett and was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley School. In 1949, she married Alfred Schiebel until he passed away in 1980. Dorothy was a home maker and a care giver at the Lutheran Home. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Deborah Powers and her husband Gary, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, two sisters, Eleanor Brockett, Sauquoit, and Virginia Homer, Cassville, NY, one brother, Willis Bartlett and his wife Pat. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Michael Powers, USAF, Andrea Graves and her husband Patrick, Remsen, NY, Sheila Albro, and husband Chad, Vernon Center, great grandchildren, Shawn and Ryan Graves and Eli, Lilly & Layla Albro. The Funeral will be Thursday, 10 am, at the John L. Matt Funeral Home, 3309 Oneida St,. Chadwicks, NY. Interment will be at the Sauquoit Valley Cemetery.
