Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of Donald (Donnie) Marino, 42, of Utica who departed this life on July 2, 2025 with his loved ones by his side.

Donnie was born on August 7,1982 in Utica, NY the son of Maria Marino. He attended Proctor High School and received a Certificate of Carpentry thru MVCC.

He was a self-made man of many talents including carpentry; electrical, plumbing, painting the list is endless. "Jack of all trades" and mastered each and every one of them with great pride. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and NY Yankees. His hobbies included basketball, drawing  (which was a gifted talent at the young age of four)  cooking ( famous for his pizza's and sausage rolls) working out and watching documentaries. But most of all the many fishing and camping trips with his cherished son Santino ( who was  his pride and joy) "A father's true wealth is a bond he shares with his son."

Donnie made many long lasting memories with all of his children and cherished each and every one of them. He was his mothers right hand man, "always there to lend a helping hand."

Donnie will be sadly missed but never forgotten, he will forever be remembered by his loving mother; Maria, cherished children Santino and his mother Falyn, Angelina, Bianca, and their mother Nicole. His youngest  daughter Briella Rose affectionately known as "Daddy's Chickie" and her mother Heather. Beloved  brother Rocco (Rocky) and his wife April and their daughter Callie. His loving grandmother Johanne, his godmother Michelle, and  a special cousin James, along  with his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Rock  (a father figure) whom he always held close in his heart.

Funeral services were under the guidance of John L Matt Funeral Home, and were held privately with close family and friends. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of his family at Calvary Cemetery.

Daddy… Donnie… You will forever remain in our hearts and everlasting memories. Your suffering is over and you're finally at peace. Fly high with the Angels, Amen.
