Donald F. Freedan,89, of, Utica, entered into rest  on Monday  December 7, 2020 at Faxton  St .Luke's Health Care Center.

He was born in Utica on May 18,1931 son of  the late Francis D. and Antoinette White Freedan, and graduated from UFA in 1949 and R.P.I. in 1953. Donald was working for Republic Aviation and served in the US Army from 1954-1956 and was an instructor in Huntsville Alabama.

In 1956 he started his career at GE as an environmental engineer and in 1958 he married the former Rose La Bella and shared a blessed union of 62 years.

Donald was very proud of his professional Engineering licenses and was an avid collector of many different items.

Surviving him is his beloved wife, Rose;  sister in law Pasqualina ( Dolly) Testa and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his -in-laws ,Marie Baber, Frank and Rose LaBella, Joseph and Palma LaBella.

Donald's Celebration of life will be held Friday Dec. 11.2020 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel  / Blessed Sacrament Church where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. William Mesmer. All attendants must adhere to covid-19 restrictions by wearing a mask over nose and mouth and must register at the church.
