David Edward
Gould
September 17, 1962 – May 26, 2026
David Edward Gould, 63, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, surrounded by his loving family.
David was born on September 17, 1962, in Ilion to the late Edward and Eileen Gould. Growing up as the big brother to two sisters ensured life was never dull, and the bond they shared remained strong throughout his life. His sisters, Debbie (Joe) Barletta and Joanne (Charlie) Denton, will continue to cherish and keep alive the many memories they shared with him.
On May 3, 1997, David married the love of his life, Judy Bradbury. Through their marriage, David proudly embraced the role of father to Judy’s three children: Don, Jim, and Bethel. In time, one of his greatest joys became being known as “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was enjoying simple conversations in his living room or spending a peaceful day fishing out on the lake. He was an avid collector of many things and found genuine happiness in sharing his treasured finds with the people he loved most. David will be remembered for his humor, his loving heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Gould; his father-in-law, Don Bradbury; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie (Joe) Barletta and Joanne (Charlie) Denton; his sister in law Dale (Bill) Deking and Jill (Chris) Mould; his children, Don (Brooke) Winn, Jim Winn, and Bethel (Brad) Stein; his grandchildren, Emily (Zack) Sanderson, Alexis Winn, Harlee Winn, Kaylee Winn, David Winn, Anna Marie Calderaro, Alyson Stein, Gabby Stein, Brayden Winn, and Easton Winn; and his great-grandchildren, Kelissa Winn, Kealon Winn, and Lydia Winn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
David also leaves behind his faithful companion, his beloved dog, Patches, who brought him endless comfort and companionship.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Edith Bradbury.
His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and love.
