Darlene Gilbert-Minetos, 70, departed this life unexpectedly on 3/15/2024. Darlene grew up in Trenton Falls. Graduated from Holland Patent High School. She married Walter Gilbert. She attended and graduated Utica School of Commerce. Raised her children. She enjoyed a career as a medical secretary. She worked many years for Doctor Huntington, in Utica, NY. Later in life, she married Steve Minetos. Darlene always looked forward to her yearly birthday lunch, with her best friend Connie. Over the years, Darlene took up hobbies of crocheting and genealogy research. Darlene enjoyed shopping at the Remsen Barnfest with Connie Ford. Darlene is survived by her son Steven Gilbert, her daughter in law Jennifer Gilbert, her grandsons Andrew, Alexander and Arthur. The family would like to thank Connie ford. Darlene had many cats, over the years and loved them dearly. Donation can be made in memory of Darlene, to "Herkimer County Human society.

As per Darlene's wishes there are no public service or calling hours. Her family gathered and honored her life at a private time.
