On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Daniel (Danny) Corr, loving father, son, brother and friend, passed away at home. Daniel was born on July 25, 1960 in Utica, NY to Joseph and Marian Corr.

Danny graduated from New Hartford Senior High School, where he grew up playing several sports with friends and especially loved goaltending for the New Hartford Youth Hockey team. Danny grew up as an avid Syracuse Basketball, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Rams Football fan and was having the most fun when attending either of those games.

He was manager at Extra Mart in New Hartford for many years where he met many lifelong friends. He was a part of most people's daily visit on the way to work where some would stop by for no reason other than to visit with him. He was employed at DFAS in Rome, NY for the last 6 years. He will be remembered fondly for his warm smile and big heart.

Danny had a great love for the outdoors where he grew up hunting and fishing alongside his brothers. He was most proud bringing his twins, Kenny and Krissy hunting where they bonded the most. Some of his most fond memories were made up at camp at Delta Lake each summer. Whether it was bringing the kids tubing or jet skiing, or just sitting by a fire, those memories will always be cherished.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Kristina Olmstead (Mason); his three brothers, Paul Corr (Jan),  Peter Corr (Christiane) and Robert Corr (Cindy); his sister, Marita Baker (Richard). Sister in law Kathleen  Corr. He is also survived by several cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth Corr, his father and mother, Joseph and Marian Corr, sister, Eileen Corr, brother, David Corr and nephew, Joseph Corr.

The family would like to give special thanks to his close friend and neighbor, Dan Fonner and family.  We will be forever grateful for you and everything you have done for him. The family would also like to acknowledge the great love he had for the Williams Family. We will forever cherish the friendships and brotherhood he had with Danny and Jerry.

Danny's Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother Our Savior Parish (Our Lady of Lourdes) – 2222 Genesee St, Utica, NY.
