Cynthia Anne Hughes, 87, of Utica and formerly of Roanoke, Virginia, departed this life peacefully on Friday December 8, 2023 with her loved ones by her side at MVHS Wynn Hospital Utica, NY.

She was born in Roanoke,VA the daughter of the late Joseph Alexander Osborne and Mattie Hubbard Lewis Osborne. She graduated from private  high School in Lynchburg,VA. She was a debutante and a member of the Virginia daughters of the American Revolution society. She was widowed by John Hughes. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed  by her six children; four sons and two daughters ; Joe Couillard, David Couillard, George Preininger, John Preininger, Christana Corbo and husband Gregg Corbo and Tina Cole. Her grandchildren; Michael, Katlin, Matthew, Rebecca, Chrystal, Annaley, Aaron, Cathleen, Shannon, Amanda, Justin, Brian and Aiden. Her great grandchildren Nicholas, Romeo, Kingston, Keanu, Naomi and Hazel and one on the way due in 2024. She is survived by her brother Louis Osborne. Predeceased by her brothers Frank and Joe Osborne.

Cynthia was all about her family. She lived a full life and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
