Charles (Wally) Johnson, 88, of Clinton, New York, entered into rest Thursday January 14, 2021.
Wally was born November 17, 1932 the son of the late Solon and Anna Kilts Johnson. He loved and served the Lord in his church, enjoyed gardening and being with his family and friends.
He served in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957. He worked for GE until his retirement. Wally is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Pat, and his four children Vicki (Steven) Besler, Rick Johnson, Scott (Jill) Johnson, and Valorie Johnson Lindsay. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Jessica (Jon) Rosato, Justin (Melissa) Besler, Joshua (Kelly) Johnson, Shawn Lindsay.
In addition Wally is survived by his five great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Ashley Johnson, Dominick Rosato, Ethan and Evan Besler, and many nieces and nephews. Wally was predeceased by , seven brothers and one sister. The Johnson family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Lutheran Home. With special thanks to Betty, Sue, Lisa, Kelly, Chris, Robin, Debbie, and April. Also special dear friend Diane Pomianowitz who helped both Wally and Pat.
A celebration of Wally's life will be held privately at Skyline Baptist Church,7582 New Floyd Rd. Rome,NY 13440 on Wednesday Jan.20,2021 at 2:00p.m. where the Rev. David Ossenfort, will officiate and military honors will be conferred.Contributions may be made to the Shepherd's Ministry PO Box 430 New Hartford,NY 13413
