Carol Whitacre, 82, of Utica, NY, departed this life on Saturday September 11, 2021, at The Grand Rehab and Nursing, of Utica, NY.

She was born in Utica, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Bessie M. Palmer Whitacre and graduated from the Sauquoit Valley Schools.       For many years Carol worked as a Lab Technician at Faxton Hospital in Utica.

Surviving Carol is her sister, Sally Anne Bacon and her husband John, of Whitesboro, her nephew Joseph Bacon, and her niece, Beth Hoff, of Rockton, IL.

Family and friends are invited to her graveside service at 11 a.m. at Sauquoit Valley Cemetery on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11 a.m., where the Rev. Joseph Bacon will preside.

We would like to thank the caregivers at The Grand for her care during her stay.
