Mrs. Candace A. Jones, 63,of Deerfield entered into rest after an 8 year courageous battle with cancer Thursday October 05,2006 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Candace was born in Utica, NY the daughter of Helen Bak and the late Chester W. Rey, Sr .She was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and the Utica School of Commerce. After graduation she was employed as a secretary for Jack Huntington, Vice President of Special Metals. On May 01,1965 in St. Agnes Church Candace and Arthur J. Jones were married by the Rev. James Quinn. The couple just celebrated 41 years of marriage. Candace was Secretary-Treasurer of Paramount Music Company a family owned business. A loving mother ,wife,daughter,sister she will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Arthur J. Jones,Ret.U.P.D:, her loving daughter and son-in-law Kimberly & Ronald Skinner of Deerfield, NY; her mother Helen(Bak)Rey; her brother & sister-in-law Chester W. Rey and wife Maryann,Clinton,NY . Her in- laws Robert J. and Joyce Jones, Marcy, NY. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her beloved pets Abby and Samantha. Candace loved her home and garden. She enjoyed her animals and her trips to Turning Stone Casino with her husband, and most of all she enjoyed her time spent with her loving daughter and best friend Kimberly and her "son" Ron. The Jones family would like to thank Dr. Thomas F. Ryan who Candace loved; Dr. Alicia DeTraglia and their staff Lilly,Eileen,Tammy; Dr.Bruce Elwell and staff; also the 3rd floor & 3B staff of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center ,especially Tina, and a very special Angel at the time of her death Jennifer.
