Mrs. Bessie M. Whitacre Utica Mrs. Bessie M. Whitacre, 92, a resident of Loretto Utica Center, entered into rest Sunday, April 22, 2007. Born in Brookfield, NY, the daughter of the late William and Mary Witter Palmer. She was educated in Brookfield Schools and furthered her education earning a degree in teaching. She married Kenneth D. Whitacre in 1938. He died in January 30, 1966. Bessie was a loving Mother and Grandmother and is survived by her beloved daughters, Carol Whitacre, Utica, Mrs. John (Sally Ann) Bacon; her grandson, Joseph Bacon, all of Whitesboro; her granddaughter, Bethany Hoff and her husband, Jim; two great-grandchildren, James and Jonathon Hoff, all of IL. She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 25, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at which time Bessie's celebration of life will be officiated by her grandson, Rev. Joseph Bacon.
