Barbara A. Peters, 82, of New Hartford, NY and formerly of Utica, NY, departed this life on Jan. 22,2025 at the Presbyterian Home of CNY with her loved ones by her side.

She was born in Kittanning,PA the daughter of the late Clarence and Angela Walker Stivason. She was educated there and came to the Utica area in 1963. For many years she worked as a day care attendant at the Neighborhood Center of Utica, NY.

She was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her children; Mitchell Stivason and his wife Marie; Keith Peters; Maria Randall and her husband Marcus; Charles Sardina,Jr. Her beloved grandchildren; Alicia Akins, New Berlin, NY; John Manley, Jr. of Utica; Frederick Sardina, Breona Sardina, both of Utica. Many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Angela V. Sardina, August 22, 2009, her grandson Phillp Sardina, 1991
