Barbara A. (Dowd) Garbera, 85, departed this life on October 18, 2024, after a short illness.

She was born on December 25, 1938, to Michael and Evelyn (Magadieu) Dowd.

She attended Sauquoit Valley schools until departing to help her family.

She worked for many years at Mele Manufacturing in Utica.

Barbara loved baking and watching romance movies.

She was preceded in death by her husband (Harry Garbera), her parents, and her sister (Kathleen Brown).

She is survived by her sister (Susan Barkley), her brother (Donald Dowd), her sister-in-law (Mary Lou Dowd), her brother-in-law (George Brown),  several nieces/nephews, and great nieces/nephews.

The family gathered privately to celebrate her life.
