Alma I. Martin, 92 of Waterville and formerly of Yorkville, NY departed this life on Friday, March 14, 2014. Alma was born on Feb 12, 1922, in Whitestown, NY, one of five children, to the late Stanley and Antonia Lupa Malinowski. She was educated in local schools and worked at Utica Cutlery for many years. She was married to Stanley Zerdecki until his passing. She later married Robert Martin until his passing. Alma was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Ed Malinowski and two sisters, Clara Lech and Jane Cicconi. Alma was a gourmet cook and a lover of deer, fawns, turkeys, koi fish in the pond and chickadees. There was no one she could not find nothing to compliment them about and make them happy. The residents and the staff of the Harding Nursing Home enjoyed her cheerfulness and compliments and she enjoyed all of them. At Alma's request there are no calling hours, "as they would make people sad". May she find peace and cheerfulness in God's heaven. A private gathering was held at the John L.
