Obituary

Alfred S. Carbone, Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, his beloved daughters, Regina (Carbone) Rosell and Renée Carbone.

He was predeceased by his infant son, Alfred III who passed away in 1975.

Also surviving Alfred are his sisters and brothers: Kathy (Carbone) and Tom Bronk, Theresa Carbone, Joseph and Mary Carbone, and Eddie and Carmella Nassimos, as well as a godson, Mike Klein, a goddaughter, Mackenzie Wiater, and a dear cousin and friend – Grace Stepello.
He also leaves behind three loving grandsons, U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class William T. Rosell, Zachery A. Rosell, and Benjamin R. Rosell, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and his three adoring cats, affectionately called One, Two, and Three.


Alfred was born in Utica, New York on October 21st, 1944, to the late Alfred S. Carbone Sr. and Mary (Rosonkiewiecz) Carbone. He attended Proctor High School and Herkimer Community College. He served honorably in the U.S. Army, both stateside and overseas, from 1965 to 1969.  He was a proud member of the VFW Post 229 and the Knights of St. John.
Alfred worked in the building trades with his father as a professional painter for many years, and worked as an electrician for most of his life as a member of the IBEW.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the 3rd floor ICU team of Wynn Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Alfred during his final days.
