Adella Mary Roberts, a lifelong resident of Chadwicks, NY, passed away after a long illness on June 12, 2024 while being lovingly cared for at the Fairport Baptist Home in Fairport, NY.

Adella was born on September 27, 1949 in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late Mary W. and Ellis G. Roberts. She graduated from Chadwicks High School in 1966. She went on to work in the insurance industry handling claims and other duties for over 31 years. In 2004, Adella retired and spent many years volunteering her time at the local senior

center, and managing an antique shop she set up behind her house. She was a frequent participant in fundraising activities such as Relay for Life and the MS Walk, and continued to do so even as her own health declined. She was proud of her Welsh heritage, and extremely passionate about Buffalo Bills football and Syracuse University basketball. Adella was known and loved for her wry humor and spunky disposition.

Adella is predeceased by her parents, Mary and Ellis G. Roberts. She is survived by her older brothers, George Roberts of Bishopsville, SC and William (& Gabriela) Roberts of Victor, NY. She is also survived by her beloved niece and devoted longtime caregiver Ronalee Roberts, nephew Michael Roberts, niece Sharon Paul, cousins Lynda Spring, Sandy Spring, Chuck Spring and Janet Mazzaroppi, and many great-nephews and nieces.

A graveside service honoring Adella's life will be held at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton, NY where she will be laid to rest alongside her parents, Mary and Ellis G. Roberts.
